Privacy Policy
Last updated:
DecideBro ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Coinki Chronicle LLP, M Muniswappa Road, RS Palya, Kammanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560033. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use DecideBro, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain.
1. Who this is for
DecideBro is built for students and young professionals making career and education decisions. If you are under 18, we encourage you to use it together with a parent or guardian. We do not use the data of anyone under 18 for marketing or share it with partners (see section 4).
2. What we collect
- Details you give us in the form: your name (optional), email address, and phone number (optional). We do not message your phone number at launch. We keep it so we can reach you on WhatsApp later, and only if you ticked the optional box in section 4.
- Your answers: your programme, year, city type, CGPA band, the decision you're exploring, and your answers to the questions in the flow. These are what your report is built from.
- Your report: the Decision Blueprint generated from your answers.
- Feedback: anything you submit through the "Help Bro improve" widget.
- Delivery information: whether your report email was sent successfully.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the service running.
- Data stored on your device: to let you continue where you left off, we save your answers and progress in your browser's local storage. You can clear this any time in your browser settings.
- Payment details (when payments launch): payments will be handled by Razorpay. We will not see or store your card or UPI details; we will receive only a payment status and reference.
We do not currently use advertising trackers or analytics tools. If we add them, we will update this policy first.
3. Why we use it
- To generate your report and email it to you.
- To let you reopen your report through the link in your email.
- To respond if you write to us.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse or fraud.
- To meet legal obligations.
Our legal basis is your consent, given when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 8).
4. Optional: other ways we may use your data (only if you say yes)
Everything in section 3 is needed to give you your report. Separately, on the form there is a second, optional box. Ticking it is not required to get your report. It is meant for people aged 18 or above. If you tick it, you agree that we may:
- Contact you by email and WhatsApp about DecideBro: new tools, updates, offers, and career-decision content related to the decision you explored.
- Use your answers in anonymised form (never identifying you) for our own research and to improve our reports.
- Share your name, contact details and the decision you explored with selected partners in the education industry, such as colleges and universities, education-loan providers, and certification and test-prep providers, so they can contact you about relevant options. We will not share your details with a partner outside these categories without asking you again.
You can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing us (section 8), by replying "stop" to a WhatsApp message, or by using the unsubscribe link in an email. Withdrawing does not affect your report or the access you have already paid for. We do not market to, or share with partners, the data of anyone who tells us or whom we know to be under 18.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. Apart from any partner sharing you opted into in section 4, we only use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Website hosting: Vercel.
- Database and storage: Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase). [CONFIRM the data region shown in your Cloud settings.]
- Email delivery: Lovable's email service, sending from our own verified domain.
- Payments (once enabled): Razorpay.
- WhatsApp messaging: we do not send WhatsApp messages yet. If we start, we will use a WhatsApp Business provider, name it here, and message only people who ticked the optional box in section 4.
We may also disclose data if required by law or a valid legal request.
Your report is generated by DecideBro's own logic. We do not send your answers to third-party AI services.
6. Where it is stored
Our providers may store data on servers outside India. We choose providers that use reasonable security safeguards, and we limit access to what's needed to run the service.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your details and answers for 24 months after your last activity, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Payment records may be kept longer where the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or update it;
- delete it;
- withdraw your consent, including the optional permission in section 4 (this does not affect what we did before you withdrew).
Email sharan182000@gmail.com from the email address you used on the form. We aim to reply within 7 days and complete requests within 30 days.
9. Emails and messages we send
We will email you your report and any message directly about your report or purchase. We send marketing or promotional emails and WhatsApp messages only if you ticked the optional box described in section 4.
10. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections and restricted database access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
11. Not advice
The report is for information and reflection. It is not professional career, financial or legal advice. Salary, cost and timing figures are estimates and can change. Please verify important numbers with official sources before you commit money or time.
